R301-S40K is a FiberMASTER S40 cladding alignment fusion splicer designed for fast, reliable fibre optic splicing. It delivers superior speed and splice performance in fibre optic installations where fibres of similar types are spliced. Using four precision motors for accurate cladding alignment across a wide range of fibre types, it provides fast splicing and dependable performance.

• Supports single-mode (G.652), multimode (G.651), G.653, G.655, and G.657 fibres
• Compatible with 80–150µm fibre cladding and 160–3000µm coating diameters
• Delivers 7second splice time in fast mode with 0.02dB typical SM splice loss
• Provides 20s (40mm) and 26s (60mm) heating times for efficient sleeve protection
• Features a 4.3-inch capacitive colour touchscreen with 320× magnification (X or Y view)
• Includes 40 preset and 60 custom splicing programs with automatic and manual operation
• Stores 8,000 splice results and supports USB Type-A software updates and data download
• Performs splice loss estimation and 1.8–2.2N tension testing to ensure splice quality
• Uses a 56.16Wh removable li-ion battery, supporting 240 splice/heating cycles per charge
