EVALSTGAP4S

EVALSTGAP4S is an evaluation board for the STGAP4S, a galvanically isolated single gate driver for IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs. It supports advanced protection, configuration, and diagnostics via SPI. The STGAP4S isolates the gate drive channel from the control circuitry using true galvanic isolation. The board features two SiC MOSFETs in H2PAK-7 packages in a half-bridge configuration, with each driver powered by an integrated flyback converter. The drivers are linked in an SPI daisy chain for streamlined communication. The board supports multiple board connections sharing a common logic supply to evaluate complex topologies like full-bridge inverters. When used with the STEVAL-PCC009V2 and STSW-STGAP4 GUI, it enables full SPI-based configuration, control, and access to detailed diagnostics through the driver’s status registers.
