The DM163030 is a PICDEM LCD 2 demo board, shows the main features of 28 pin, 40 pin, 64 pin, and 80 pin LCD flash PIC microcontrollers including the LCD voltage booster and contrast controller It is populated with the PIC18F85J90. Other devices are supported via a transition socket and are available separately A sample LCD glass display is included for custom prototyping. The glass features seven segment displays, wipers, thermometers, star bursts, and other common icons. This product is also part of the Human Interface Program.

• The MPLAB ICE can be plugged onto the board without any transition socket for PIC18FXX90 devices
• On board adjustable voltage regulator for direct input from 9V, 100mA AC/DC
• Green power on indicator LED for direct input from 9V
• Varitronix custom segmented LCD display
• RS 232 connection and associated hardware for direct connection to RS 232 interface
• A Microwire EEPROM 93AA46C provided on a socket
• Thermistor for sensing temperature
• Prototype area for user hardware
• In circuit debugger connector
