MAX5462EXT+T

The MAX5462EXT+T is a 32 tap FleaPoT™, 2 wire digital potentiometer in 6 pin SC-70 package. The linear taper digital potentiometer performs the same function as a mechanical potentiometer or a variable resistor. This device consists of a fixed resistor and a wiper contact with 32 tap points that are digitally controlled through a 2 wire serial interface. The MAX5462 is configured as potentiometer. Typical applications include LCD screen adjustment, volume control, mechanical potentiometer replacement, gain adjustment and line impedance matching.

• Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• Active supply current is 25µA, standby supply current is 0.3µA
• Glitchless switching between resistor taps
• Power-on reset to midscale
• 2-wire up/down serial interface
• End to end resistance is 100Kohm, end to end resistance tempco is 35ppm/°C
• Ratiometric resistance tempco is 5ppm/°C, integral nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB
• Differential nonlinearity is ±1LSB, full scale error is ±0.1LSB, zero scale error is 1LSB
• Wiper resistance is 600 ohm
