ADM3095EARZ

ADM3095EARZ is a level 4 EMC protected RS-485 transceiver with full ±42V fault protection. This device is designed to withstand overvoltage faults, such as short circuits directly to power supplies, and overvoltage faults, such as ±24V AC supplies connected in error to the RS-485 A and B bus pins. It is an RS-485 transceiver that integrates IEC 61000-4-5 Level 4 surge protection, allowing upto ±4kV protection on the RS-485 bus pins. This device has IEC 61000-4-4 Level 4 electrical fast transient (EFT) protection of up to ±2kV, and IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection on the bus pins, allowing the device to withstand up to ±15KV on the transceiver interface pins without latch-up or damage. It is used in applications such as heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) networks, industrial field buses, building automation, and utility networks.

• Data rate is 2.5Mbps maximum at (VCC = 3.0V to 5.5V)
• Propagation delay (driver) is 35ns typical at (RLDIFF = 54 ohm, CL1 = CL2 = 100pF)
• Rise/fall time (driver) is 40ns typical at (RLDIFF = 54 ohm, CL1 = CL2 = 100pF)
• Input resistance (receiver) is 96Kohm minimum at (-25V ≤ VCM ≤ +25V)
• Logic input current is ±1µA maximum at (VCC = 3.0V to 5.5V)
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 16-lead SOIC-N package
