It is enabled through the Silicon Labs Flex SDK which contains the Connect Stack and the Radio Abstraction Interface Layer (RAIL) to simplify proprietary wireless protocol development. Using the Simplicity Studio suite of tools, developers can take advantage of graphical user interface to quickly generate wireless applications, perform energy profiling and various system optimizations. Connect Stack is an IEEE 802.15.4 based networking stack designed for creating easily customizable broad-based proprietary wireless applications and supports both sub-GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands.
