MAX241CWI+

The MAX241CWI+ is a +5V powered multichannel RS232 driver/receiver in 28 pin WSOIC package. This device is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The MAX241 has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converter, RS232 driver, RS232 receiver and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. The integrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar ±12V supply and enables single supply operation from +5V supply. It is used in interface translation and multidrop RS232 network applications.

• Transition slew rate is 5.1V/μs (CL = 50pF to 2500pF, RL = 3Kohm to 7Kohm)
• VCC supply current of 7mA with no load
• Shutdown supply current of 1μA at TA = 25°C
• Complete IBM PC serial port
