AD5721BRUZ is a single channel, 12bit serial input, voltage output, digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). The integrated output amplifier and reference buffer provide a very easy to use, universal solution. It uses a serial interface that operates at clock rates of upto 50MHz and are compatible with DSP and microcontroller interface standards. Double buffering allows the asynchronous updating of the DAC output. The input coding is user-selectable twos complement or straight binary. The asynchronous reset function resets all registers to their default state. The output range is user selectable, via the RA[2:0] bits in the control register. It is used in applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, data acquisition, open-/closed-loop servo control, process control, programmable logic controllers.

• Output voltage settling time is 9µs typical at (20V step to 1LSB at 16bit resolution)
• Integrated reference buffers, 1.8V logic compatibility, robust 4kV HBM ESD rating
• Asynchronous updating via LDAC, DSP/microcontroller-compatible serial interface
• Output noise is 35µV rms typical at (VDD1 = 4.75V to 30V)
• Low glitch is 1nV-sec typical at (0V to 5V range)
• Total harmonic distortion is -87dB typical at (VDD1 = 4.75V to 30V)
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, package style is 16-lead TSSOP
